Matt was a 4 year varsity letterman for his high school baseball and basketball teams. As a pitcher, and an over .400 batting average. He led his Kourey League baseball team in 1993 to their first National Championship in Paducah Kentucky.

Matt attended college at Southwest Missouri State University where he pursued his football dream and went on to earn his degree in Wildlife Biology.

In his 2003 tryout with the Missouri Cyclones, Matt ran a 4.6- 40 yard dash solidifying his spot at defensive end. He went on to play 2 seasons, setting the team sack record.

Also a competitive power-lifter, Big Matt has lifted a combined total of over 2000 pounds by bench pressing 500 pounds, deadlifting 800 pounds, and squatting 800 pounds.

Matt has a passion for seeing the lost saved. His fire and passion for the Lord are second to none. More than his physical strength Matt passion for Jesus is what sets him apart and has been his catalyst in ministry for over 15 years.
